Marissa's Baptism

On Saturday Marissa was BAPTIZED! I think she was a little bit nervous--her smile wasn't quite there until after it was over. Trace had the honor of performing the baptism. It was a beautiful special day for a very special girl. Congratulations Marissa!

My Boys

On our way to church . I thought my boys looked very handsome.

In Loving Memory . . .

Last week (on Friday) Tami sold her blue car and bought this pretty little Geo Metro. It was "meant to be" how things all worked out and Tami was falling in love with her new car. She took her to Soldotna and even bought a new stereo to install. These photos were taken on Sunday. But then, in a sudden and unexpected turn of events Tami sold her car to someone who loved her ($$) even more than Tami. She was a good car and she served Tami well in the short time they were together. May she bring much happiness to every life she touches so fare well little metro. Looking forward to meeting your replacement.

This weather this summer has been disappointing (to say the least),
and Trace really missed being able to kitesurf as much as he would like.
So last week Trace went to North Carolina with a friend to go kitesurfing. He stayed with his friend Joe and his family at a beach house on the Outer Banks and had a great time.

The rental house -- "Cloud 9"-apparently was very nice.

We always knew he was a little spacey . . .

Days like these . . .

It was one of those days . . .
Tanner is a little boy full of mischief and always into something.
Notice the dinosaur . . .
The same dinosaur-in the dryer . . .

He can figure out how to get virtually anywhere.
Nothing is too high or out of reach.

Guess who has the camera!
Tanner keeps me busy, just keeping up with his daily adventures.
But I wouldn't have it any other way. . .

Time out for Mom

September 5-6 I was able to take a mini vacation to attend Time Out For Women in Anchorage. It was a great experience and just what I needed. The presenters were great--some of my favorite LDS authors--Sheri Dew, Wendy Watson Nelson, Ardeth Kapp, Hilary Weeks (musician) and Emily Watts. It was uplifiting and inspiring.
Trace was great about taking on the kids for the weekend, especially since this was the first time I had left Tanner overnight. They got up early (5am) on Saturday morning and had a couple rough patches but overall everyone was okay without Mom. (yeah!) They were all exhausted when I got home late Saturday night and this is the scene Sunday morning.
(The morning after . . . sleeping it off)
